You can get a 90 day extension of stay based on medical treatment.

You'll need a request issued by the doctor of the Hospital where you are being treated. Most Hospitals have an Immigration section right there at the Hospital and can help you.

If you however have problems and like us to help, our professional fee is 3,900 Baht and the government fee is 2,000 Baht to change the 30 day stamp to a 90 day visa.

I do not believe "most" hospitals have an immigration section on site.

You may be right. I was thinkking "expat" hospitals.

Bumrungrad International

Samitivej hospital (Sukhumvit)

Bangkok Hospital

... are three hospitals that comes to mind.

Very very easy to take care of.

Explain to the doctor that you don't have a year visa and he/she should have the papers there to just fill out, sign, and then you take them to immigration. When I did it I didn't get 3 months straight off - I had to report to immigration once a month for 3 months. AFter that I was back on my regular system.

Good luck :o (with immigration as well as the upcoming birth of your baby)
