rocoa01 Posted April 4, 2016 Share Posted April 4, 2016 OK, this has to be another myth associated with wifi but does anyone believe that your wifi router should be turned off when not in use? I have never heard of this except in Thailand where various locals have told me when they go to work or turn in for the night they turn off their wifi routers. lopburi3 Posted April 4, 2016 Share Posted April 4, 2016 It is a slight extra electric usage so for some that is reason enough - but perhaps more important is prevents anyone else using - knowing security is minimal that might make it a reasonable thing to do for most in close quarters.
