What A Bitch!

Featured Replies

Please excuse my ignorance regarding the birds and bees concerning dogs. In my youth I remember our dog as being on heat for a few days with all the male dogs hanging around waiting their turn and then it being all over. Well, our dog seems to have been on heat for 4 weeks now, a constant stream of the good, the bad and the ugly have been servicing her around the clock since the beginning of October. We live in a village where all the dogs come and go as they please and our dog, unloke us, doesn't seem to be fed up yet with the constant attention.

My question is; does a bitch stay on heat until she's pregnant and then stop emitting the come-on odours or what? She has already had one litter.

Thanking in advance for any helpful replies.
