The fire started at 10.30 pm at the factory where 2,000 tons of paper containers were stored.

The fire raged quickly due to the paper materials forcing over 30 fire trucks to rush to the factory which is inside a 100-rai compound.

It took the fire engines over three hours before the whole factory godown was burnt to the ground with all the paper containers and six printing machines.

Factory manager Suravuth Patanasopon said initial damage was estimated at over 100 million baht.

I used to work in papermills which produce the same kind of paper. I can tell you that when it starts burn and nobody see it early enough, there is nothing else to do than protecting the other buildings and installation against fire...

Hope none was injured!
