55Jay
seems tame compared to this: RIP USA. Mute the sound and play a video where Sir Richard Attenborough narrates a pride of lions at the kill site of a Pronghorn antelope.
mike324
What an idiots, they even don't see the size. Thats because they arent buying for themselves but to sell for a markup later. Happens to h&m exclusive designer lines too. People have devolved into jerks No wonder we have a cab company called GRAB....says it all. I didn't check the price but they also sell those converse shoes at the outlet-square at Impact muang thong where busloads of chinese go shopping, they have good manners there though. If Central goes to Europe they will learn a hard lesson i guess. Departmentstores there have a hard time because of cheap internetshops who are much cheaper then Central in Thailand. No matter how much these shoes cost after 50% discount i bet i can find them cheaper in Europe. These folks just have nothing to do and want to make a picture for Fayboo. The shoes will be black in a week after walking on the BKK pavements full of filth. You probably never bought converse here before. Actually the most basic model (2-3 models) are priced very competitive compare to the US and Europe, often times I find it to be slightly cheaper. So at 50% discout it is really really cheap. No idea why the most basic model is cheap, while the other models are double or more the price. Perhaps the shoes are made in thailand?
jlwilliamsjr18
Interesting to see that Thai's can fall to the same madness that Chinese shrimp hogs do. Happiness is just around the corner.
Robm579
One shouldn't be too judgemental ... Harrods sale is not so different... Just despise the "mall" culture which is and will eventually destroy Thai "peace and calm", its local markets and traditional way of life... Tragic
Changwatchap
For those asking about price: the shoes were 1400 full price, 700 half price. Reminds me of when mr shake offers buy one get one free days, and you see dozens of people queuing. For what..... a 50 baht saving?

No matter what the original price is? Central is not cheap that's all i know. No idea where they are made, i also never bought them because they will start stinking when i wear those. If i know the price i can find them cheaper in Europe but i don't need them. The only cheap shops for sneakers in Thailand are the factory outlets. Even in the malls they sell fake ones is what i guess but fake ones are so good these days that i can't see the difference.
apetley
Reminds me of Dunkin Donuts 'wow day' at our local Robinson. People snapping up 10 boxes worth, 120 donuts, and then reselling in their local market.
nikmar
Would there be mayhem on Walking Street if the bars and girls announced a 50% discount on ... errr, you know what (not allowed to say)? How many TV members would storm the place, condoms and viagra in hand? Ah. The voice of inexperience. Viagra is of no use in the hand. Better to digest it first. bangon04
Has anyone compared the crowds from the Japanese ice cream and this event? Could be the start of a trend in Thai marketing. Rent a crowd of unruly bargain chasers to generate publicity for your store.... Let's see where else this happens... BangkokKen
Just in a decade of rogue credits to buy cars and smartphones, Thailand turned from humility, strong morale and community values where the individual is serving the group, to a me-first / my latest Iphone / my branded shoes society. The banks must be shafted, they have now a bunch of individualized credit slaves who will happily accept exploitation and have totally forgotten unity and solidarity was their only hope. Again if you read my post the basic model is priced similar to Europe/USA around 900-1000 baht for women, and under 1200 baht for men. So if you can find it cheaper than 15 euro show me a link! No I am not Thai. Just happen to know the price of these shoes as I use to wear them. You said it yourself you don't know the price yet you dare to comment and point out that its probably a fake if its cheap in Thailand! What an ignorant comment. True 99% of the shoes are 2-3 times the price compare to the Europe/USA, but the converse basic model just happens to be the 1% By the way Central already has department stores in Italy and Denmark, they plan on buying existing one in Germany too. I don't know how well they are doing, but I believe they just bought those stores back 3-4 years ago, probably not very profitable right now with the bad economy everywhere but they are still turning a profit. http://www.central.co.th/p/%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%87%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%97%E0%B9%89%E0%B8%B2%E0%B8%A5%E0%B8%B3%E0%B8%A5%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%87%E0%B8%9C%E0%B8%B9%E0%B9%89%E0%B8%AB%E0%B8%8D%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%87-converse-all-star-dainty-ox-111d100-%E0%B9%84%E0%B8%8B%E0%B8%AA%E0%B9%8C-us7-%E0%B8%AA%E0%B8%B5%E0%B9%81%E0%B8%94%E0%B8%
