Lady's Month: TAT celebrates female tourists with lady golf, lady blogs, ladies in Thai fabrics

BANGKOK: -- The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced that "Lady's Month" will target female tourists visiting Thailand in August.

TAT will partner with resorts and airlines to create special packages aimed just at “the girls.” The scheduled activities for “Lady’s Month” are: Lady Golf Challenge, Lady Celebrities in Thailand, Ladies Photo Contest in Thailand 2016, Lady in Thai Fabrics Contest, Lady Bloggers' Journey, and the introduction of the app: "Lady Journey."

That’s a lot of lady things! The TAT has created “Lady’s Month” based on information that half of the world’s population are women.

This should be interesting.

Will be interesting to learn how many "ladies" TAT will be able to identify among those obnoxious Chinese tour groups.

Also: Why are there no Chinese in that "Amazing Thailand Luxury" screenshot (see top)? I thought TAT considered them such an important segment of their tourism pie. But perhaps they don't indulge in luxury so much... a least not to the extent Thailand would like to have it.

Clueless Yes but good and loyal officials simply following the example set by the national leadership !

Easily led too.

"The TAT has created “Lady’s Month” based on information that half of the world’s population are women. They are also making more money than ever and more of them are without children and free to travel.

It noted that the income of women worldwide has risen to THB281 trillion in 2013, up from THB105 trillion in 2009."

I wonder how long the research took to find out this amazing information! And ladies, things are looking up, we have managed to increase our wealth by about 2.8 times (i.e. almost triple) in only 4 years!!

I am not female, but I know a few that would rather do just about anything than the things listed there.

Here's a few tips, spas, chocolate, wine tasting, Ladies night stuff. spas again. I am pretty sure that would beat the hell out of, lady blogger journey

Male tourists are so much easier to make happy. Just give them a line group membership.

Yeh, Thailand seeks to change it's image by encouraging quality Chinese European Female tourists . . .

Maybe also provide clothes lines at the airport for Chinese ladies to dry their underwear

Also special program for lady bridge players? 2 days visit at the local prison and a set of legal cards...

I cannot wait until they have a men's month to cater to the other half of the worlds population.......ideas please......
