Bangkok students caught selling sex on LINE app

Featured Replies

Girls selling sex, in Bangkok? Say it isn't so, not here in the land of high moral values. cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

8000 baht a head? Wow, must have some very hi-so customers.

Think I'll pop into Soi Cowboy tonight to watch some neked girls with my 160 baht small beer. I can also check what's on the menu for take out. tongue.png

at 8000 baht they won't be catering to faring, maybe some 3 star generals!wai.gif

I don't know. If you read the topic of 'how much would 3 million baht last', for some TV members it would only last 1 year.

8,000 baht to shag a uni. girl would be well within their budget.

Only got 4....the girls were too money hungry to see that 8,000 could have been a ploy. It is sad that they feel they have to sell themselves to pay for college. Shouldn't have to do that.

Students, at 25, 26? Time they did get a job. Full time comes to mind, but without the 'frills'..

Students do this in the UK, nowt to be ashamed of, especially not here in the land of gash for cash.

This is just the tip of the iceberg and it is something to be ashamed of. How can it ever be acceptable that students are becoming prostitutes to pay for their education? And what about the people that are pimping them out under the guise as an agency? These girls are suppose to be attending university to earn degrees for their future careers and then working their way up to success, otherwise if they prefer to earn money by laying on their backs, then what`s the point of attending University? They may just as well graduate from school and go straight into the bars or become escorts.

Sorry, but this can never be acceptable.

You were only arrested ladies because you weren't selling yourselves at a karaoke/ a go go/massage parlor that the cops take a kick back from. You can't just go and freelance like that now whistling.gif

Do you think they don't know that?

Talk about stating the bloody obvious.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the situation, shaming the women is a bit OTT I think, especially in Thailand - "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone".

Kind of think prostitution has been going on since the dawn of time and will go on for ever. We all know laws are selectively applied in Thailand and i feel sorry for the girls. In terms of the police I wonder what this has achieved? Maybe they should put more effort into solving real crimes?

The real trouble I think was that they were soliciting to thai men.

One rule for Thais another for falangs, it works both ways

I'll take cousin it and her two sisters

the hypocrisy makes me puke and then they drag these girls all through the mud as if they are an "exception" here in Thailand

leave them alone and if you are serious sort out Pattaya, Nana, Patpong and all the rest in EVERY town, city and hamlet

as posted previous, studying to earn degrees, i bet most of them will have a kid and have no future and 8000 baht that's crazy money, a months factory worker wages, i bet a lot of them drop out of university, when they see the easy money for half hours work lol

So whats this group called..? biggrin.png

So whats this group called..? biggrin.png

overpriced n over entitled

4 Pages in and it's all about prostitution and the hypocrisy of the Thais, and a few comments joking they want to sign up to Line, presumably for sexy women....

Nothing about how using Line in Thailand means you have no privacy, where the poorly trained and financially, morally and politically corrupt Thai police can be monitoring what you say and do, then apply Mickey Mouse nonsense, such as Thailand's "Computer Crimes" law, to stitch you up in a system where there is no fairness or justice.

few years ago while walking in Patpong a crowd gathered and there was a policeman beating a sex movies DVD re-seller and when I asked my gf what s going on ? they said (" it s illegal to sell sex movies in Thailand and it s against the morals"), the funny thing is right in-front of the scene a dozen of gogo bars were crowded with topless girls dancing and other live shows and all what the police cared was that poor DVD re-seller.

Sorry, but this can never be acceptable.

Is it acceptable that students get into debt then "prostitute' themselves by becoming wage slaves for eternity to pay off their student debts?

It may well be an acceptable way to keep the wage slaves inline, but these girls are obviously wise to that con!  well done girls for trying to earn a few $ while you can :shock1:

1 year and a half for original post??

Nothing to be ashamed of???? So prostitution is something that we shouldn´t care about anymore?
Yeah, ok! What do you say about all parents that spend more time on social media than caring about their children? Also ok?
What about people that live on social services just because they don´t want to work? That´s ok too? Using the money you pay in tax.

Thoose 2 are not even half as bad. Screw your head on, breath in, breath out.

Why call them " Ladies of the Day "  when they are simply prostitutes ?

Prostitutes only do it for the money they are not doing it for fun or because they enjoy it. So what is the point of using terms like " ladies of the day or selling sex "  they are prostitutes pure and simple.

At least with bar girls their main objective is to marry a rich farang , but these students are just in it for the money

shocking... apparently a free university education, a nice appartmens sponsored by the parents and a generous college loan to be paid back with the comfortably high salary university graduates earn in Thailand was not enough for them.

No.. wait

:saai:

Also... "police offered 8000 Baht per head" would be called "incitement" in most constitutional democracies.

But in most other countries the police would be at least a little ashamed to announce arrest of three people for something that is done several million times a day.

Or when is the last time you read: "Munich police proudly arrests three germans for drinking beer in September"

I think the assumption the police was miffed none of the girls ever paid them a share is pretty spot on.

And as always.. it's the girls that get arrested, not the pimps, bar owners or customers. Why is that? Pimps not good at bjs?

So if these girls are not from a wealthy family how you think they can pay for university?

200 or 300 baht a night seving at restaurant?

In reality they probably have better future earning chances if give up schooling and go on the beat fulltime.

So at least they are trying to better themself.

It never stops to amaze how the westerner bring their judgement to an asian country that have no government welfare help that most countrys can rely on.

Funny comment and true

but the way i read it..didnt say they were charging 8000

said they were offerred 8000

I think maybe a tactic police use to catch the silly ones and show them a lesson.

Those girls should have smelled a rat really for such a generous offer or at least be suspicious

Where in Thailand will someone offer double or tripple the normal rate of a service if they dont have to?

Well except for farangs of course

I would say around 30% of the girls enjoy their work.

Read the OP, aged between 25 and 26, these aren't students, students are aged 18-22.

My Thai teens university fees are 8,000bht/term (2 terms a year), she easily pays the fees by working in a petrol station at 300bht/day.

Have you ever actually talked to any young person from Thailand?! I mean other than "you beautiful, now get nekkid!" Unless you're from an (upper) middleclass family, you don't have the money to study right away. Most people I know have to work for a couple of years to earn the money they need to study. At 300 bht/day that is going to take a while.

You do understand that they need money for rent, food and clothing, books, transportation. You go ahead and try living at 150 bht a day for a while. While working 10 hour shifts please. Work overtime, take a taxi home, effectively halfing your income for the day...

Gotta love capitalism, right?

Let me know how you are doing. And with spending less money on rent, food and clothing than the average farang for his starbucks breakfast, you still only manage to save another 150 bht a day. So you'll have to work for 3 years to study for three years. Want to be a MD or master of science/engineering? Work 5 years, study 5 years. Fun, right?
