The immigration officer said that, as from Oct '06, if your wife can prove 3 consecutive months of earning more than 40,000THB that the husband doesn't have to have the 400,000THB in his account when applying for the 1 year Non-O.

Sounds like next year should be a breeze then (if things don't change again).

By now, this is an old story. It looks like you do not read ThaiVisa regularly, otherwise you would have known this already four weeks ago. Better late than never, and I am happy for you that this will make your life easier.

It's also the combined total of income. Eg. if you bring in 20k/month and she shows 20k/month that also satisfies the requirements.
