Have posted this question on another forum but have had limited response. I recently applied for a teachers license and was blown off my the MOE due to the new rules that came into effect and the new requirements. My single non B is going to expire and I need to get another one so that I can re apply for the TL. I've heard that many embassies are not being farang friendly for this kind of situation. I'm trying to get my school to give me as much evidence as they can that I've simply been a victim of circumstance( read Thai government BS). My question is, which embassy would you suggest I go to and with what paperwork?

Thanks,

Sb

At the request of sweetbear, the original poster, this topic has been moved to Teaching forum.

I don't know, sweetbear, but the closest friendly country is supposed to be Malaysia, and perhaps Kuala Lamphur is friendlier now than Penang. Singapore and Perth are possibilities.

I understand OP's predicament, but there's simply no way to know for sure right now- everything is in a state of flux and people are doing anything they can to avoid going for visa runs until the situation is clearer. However, I'd recommend going to a *different* consulate than the one from which you got your 1st non-imm. B, because I do hear that the consulates are getting a bit snarky about repeat visits.

Appreciate all the help everyone. I'm leaning towards KL...

If you're staying in SE Asia, I heard Singapore is not bad as well. I think I heard that Kunming China (direct flight from Chiang Mai) wasn't too difficult. Perth has a good reputation but then you'd be starting to spend money.
