I have been here for 20 years now and for the past 11 years have either been on a spouse visa or a work permit. I have never ever been asked to report for 90 days at any time. I remember a couple of years ago, the guy in front of me was told he must report every 90 days and then the same immigration official dealt with me and never said a thing about the 90 day reporting.

Could it be that I am exempt because I was already here before a certain date? Has anyone else avoided this rule without being asked to comply?

Sometimes they enforce and other times they overlook this when you leave Thailand.

If you are here on a non-imm O or B you need to report to immigration every 90 days that you have been in the country. So if you leave the country say every two months you don't need to report. But if you stay in the country and do not leave then you need to report or complete the form and send it to imm'n.

There is a copy on this website.

Well I haven't left Thailand for 4 years now and no one has ever asked me to do this when I go to renew my one year visa.

You are expected to know and abide by the rules. The rule is that you must report every 90 days. I am sure if you ask them they will confirm this rule. But it is not normally a part of the extension of stay process; except recently for first time extensions.

I must live in a parallel universe or something.

For the past 4 years I have always made sure I am in the country so I can do my 90 day reporting. I have even booked trips to the UK around this so not to miss this magical event.

I know this can be done online - but I still thought I had to actually be in the country when I did this.

Please explain the subtleties of this to me - I just know you are going to reference a web site that explains this in detail and make me feel more stupid - aren't you? - why do I never find these sites when I am looking for this stuff :o:D !!!

1. If you are outside the country you are not here for 90 days so no report is required.

2. When you return the 90 day clock starts - so 90 days after your arrival date you report again.

So if you travel often you may never have to do 90 day address reports. There is absolutely no reason to avoid travel to do 90 day reports.

Thanks - lopburi3 - I learn something new all the time from you/this forum.
