Long weekend, where to go?

Featured Replies

The next coming weekend I have 4 days off (Sat to Tue).

Usually I make some trip with my motorcycle.

Just thinking at the moment it's quite hot and also not much to see as everything so dry.

I guess it's hot everywhere in Thailand at the moment, even in the north, right?

I like nature and national parks but most around Bangkok I've been already and as I said it's bone dry so not very nice there.

Maybe beaches or Islands? For a 4 day trip from BKK.

I'm really not sure.

Maybe someone has a suggestion.

Thanks!

Could head up to Phetchabun.

It's a good four hour run but once on the 21 road it's very straightforward.

Lots of national parks and waterfalls up in Khao Khor or neighbouring Nam Nao as well as heading up to Phu Tab Berk near Lom Sak which is very high in the mountains, might just escape some of the stifling heat.

Beach it in Bang Saray?

Kanchanaburi and go rent a house boat up on the lake

or south down to Prachup Khiri khan

I was in Pak Chong and that side of Khao Yai NP.

Of course hot, but not that unpleasant like in Bangkok.

Always a constant breeze and not so humid.

Anyway I didn't do much, I stayed at a friend's house, relaxing.
