unfortunately many thais have no regard for their animals, I ave seen it many times over the years, they do not want to take care of them a t all and prefer to let them wander the streets to get food and crap where ever they want exept in their own yards., There are many that do do the right thing, feed them properly, walk them and bath them but they are in the far greater minority. At our other house near the lake there were that many stray dogs constantly there it wasnt funny, the dogs get into all the  rubbish ans as many thais just throw their garbage on the ground it was soon spread everywhere.

The cruelty is also there for everyone to see, kicking dogs or using sticks on them, I have seen cars swerve to try to run over them as well, they simply have no regard for the animals at all nor do they want to take responsibility for them, much easier to let them roam
