Apply for Elite Visa in the UK

Featured Replies

Hi

Planning on applying for Elite visa in the uk then flying to bangkok where we will be meet by a elite visa representative to have our visas attached to our passports.

Our fights are booked for a return date 6 months after we leave the uk, how do we deal with the airline about the issue that we won't get our Elite visa's until we arrive in Bangkok ?

Anybody had any experience of this procedure.

Kind Regards

Depending on the airline you may not even be asked for proof of onward travel within the 30 days.

And to be fair if you can afford to shell out 500,000 Thai baht on a visa you could of course purchase a cheap ticket with air Asia to Kuala Lumpur for under £50 which you don't need to use.

Failing that explain your situation to the airline and ask them to contact Thai immigration before departing for your flight maybe a few days in advance.

Usually if you are well presented you encounter no problems whatsoever 9 out of 10 times.

I suggest you email TE on this, they will advise you what to do. If you email them now you will almost certainly have a reply tomorrow morning.

When I was flying into Thailand on 30 day visa exemptions I always used to buy a throw away onward flight. I used to buy the cheapest ticket with Air Asia from anywhere in Thailand to any other country. Usually used to cost about 1000 baht.

If you have any money whatsoever just buy a 100% fully refundable ticket whatever it costs. No need to waste 50 quid. Only do this online at the airport or ticket desk if they even bother to ask you anything.

If your flying EVA Air, they never even bother to ask.

As long as you have an onward flight, to anywhere, dated within 30 days of arrival you won't have a problem with the airline.

Maybe the airline would accept paperwork confirming the Elite Visa will be issued at BKK, but it would be at their discretion.

As it's possible to get cheap or refundable tickets that's probably the best way to go.
