PM tells Cabinet to work urgently

BANGKOK, 27 April 2016 (NNT) - Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has instructed the Cabinet to expedite the government’s work in order to avoid passing on burden to its successor.

The PM said on Tuesday that there must be more clarity in the government’s implementation of its 2016-2017 roadmap and the National Economic and Social Development Master Plans. Gen. Prayut also stressed that the government needed to urgently heed the guidance of the National Reform Steering Assembly and the National Council for Peace and Order.

The government was pushing for progress in its agricultural policy, water management, education, infrastructure as well as logistics, said the premier. The government would restructure the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology in preparation for the digital economy, he said.

Regarding Thailand’s solutions to the problem of IUU fishing, Gen. Prayut said there would be a meeting in May on the matter. He suggested that the government should emphasize the fact that Thailand was doing the utmost in tackling the problem. He admitted that some fishing entrepreneurs might be affected by the government’s efforts against IUU.

The PM congratulated Para rubber farmers after rubber price increased to 60-62 baht a kilogram. He added that the Ministry of Industry would cooperate with China in producing rubber products made from almost 200,000 tons of rubber in Thailand. There were new investors from China and Malaysia who showed their interest to buy Para rubber from Thailand, said the PM.

The EU and the U.S. need to drop the hammer, full stop. This BS will never stop until this happens.

Hmmm; i presume there will be a lot more 'scrambling' going on then !

Maybe the Prime Minister, as well as The Nation and Thaivisa, should explain how the AIS/True problem is going and why the son of a High ranked member of the Junta, member of the True Board, can force a company like AIS to give 8millions customers to True...

But no, no corruption, no nepotsim,..

The words "unscramble" and "omelet" come to mind in relation to whichever party forms the next government..

Did not know about this, very scary indeed. There is no protection, no hiding place, seems they can do whatever they want, very openly and absolutely no one is doing a single thing about it.

I fear for this countries future.

Cabinet? Isn't it a one man show anymore?

The Boss: " I am expressing concern and asking everyone responsible to do their jobs as they are supposed to. OK. That's enough for one day and it's time to go on over to the house and get a cold drink."

If it had involved people from the opposite political faction, they would already be investigated for conflict of interest and abuse of power.

'grab your bowls cabinet, not the almost burgundy ones you idiots, start bailing out the water'

our little ship, lots of talk and very little achievement, the holes in it are becoming more visible.
