Switch visa to different national passport?

Featured Replies

I fully expect the answer to be "no", but if you don't ask...

I hold dual (actually triple) citizenship.

One passport is practically unused while I have noticed that the other one is rapidly running out of pages due to trips out of Thailand with all the stamps that requires both here and on the countries I visit.

So, could I move my non-O based on marriage from one passport to the other?

If not I guess I will maybe try to use the second passport for the other countries I enter, although I'm not sure of any complications from leaving Thailand on one passport and entering a second country on another.

Thanks for any info.

Suspect you have an extension from immigration so no it can not be moved to a different nationality. A visa would also not be an option to move - but a new visa in other passport could be obtained. There is no problem using different passport using air travel - but on local borders land access requires immigration of other country to see stamp from departing country.

Thank you Lopburi3.

Much as I suspected.

No problem to enter countries for which you do not require a visa on your second or third passport. You must then use that passport to exit, and enter Thailand on your primary passport bearing the extension and re-entry permit.
