Post-It notes are left affixed along a skywalk near BTS Chong Nonsi late Sunday afternoon in Bangkok.

BANGKOK — “Cappuccino or espresso?” a police officer asked protest leader Sirawith Seritiwat minutes before leading him away from the scene of a public protest late Sunday afternoon.

That very sincere question, posed before a throng prickling with lenses and journalists, best captured the tactics at play by both the military regime and its opponents to win hearts and minds both in Thailand and abroad.

Incredibly insightful analysis.

Is this one of those imagination exercises? They kind where it is up to you to come with the rest of the story.

Or was there supposed to be a link attached?

A penetrating, almost dangerous glimpse into the soul itself. Cappuccino or Expresso indeed...

This article leaves a lot to be desired.

Looks like the NCPO got to the article quicker than a jackrabbit.

Link is in the topic now.

We'll see how soft the power is when people start declining the invitation to attitude adjustment.

What soft power? In the same week a bunch of people was taken from their homes by soldiers, is that soft power ? Is the intimidation of the press soft power ? Is section 44 a soft power instrument ? Is the oppression of different views a reflection of a government that believes in soft power ?
