A teenager was killed while several people, including a toddler and a young girl, were injured in two lightning strikes on Friday.

Neat Noy, a 19-year-old from Svay Chreah commune in Kratie province’s Snuol district, was killed instantly when lightning hit her family’s home in Tasom village on Friday, according to Kratie province military police commander San Bunthan.

“While they were having dinner, the lightning struck in the middle of the dinner table, killing one and injuring another five,” said Bunthan.
