jack2964
May have the terminology wrong but I am trying to mount some cctv cameras onto the fibrous ceiling of my car port. The ceiling boards are less than 10mm thick and the supplied screws don't bite securely. I am near Korat and have been to Global House, HomePro and Do Home without success looking for this: Or if someone has a better idea or alternative fastener to recommend? Thanks! NamH2O
If you can get a piece of timber behind the board you can screw through the board into the wood, thus spreading the load.
jack2964
That's a great idea Nam but in my case I can't access the spot I need. I'd have to risk crashing through the boards as they are held in place by flimsy aluminium struts. Found some on aliexpress but would prefer sourcing locally. longball53098
See this Google link. I have seen and used many of the types shown here. Available at most if not all the DIY stores around. https://www.google.co.th/search?q=images+nylon+drywall+fasteners&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj00ML25sHMAhUDQI4KHTg1CdYQsAQIGg&biw=1600&bih=
