Bangkok temple now a venerated site for Leicester City fans

The owners are fortunate that foreign ownership is allowed in Britain, unlike in their home country.

Maybe I should buy some of this hokum pocum stuff as an investment for when they win the Champions League next season, or has the monk not predicted that yet?

This could spawn a whole new industry. Let's see now, who will be in the queue, apart from the Thai volleyball team who are already en-route?

David Cameron - referendum

Donald Trump - US elections

England football team - 2016 Euro's

Tiger Woods - US Open

Any others?.

Clearly I'm making light of this story as I have watched Leicester all season on the TV and I still think the players won the prize.

However, if this country had a Sun newspaper I'm sure the banner headline would be;

"It's the monk that did it!"

I suspect there will be plenty of financial reward flowing into the area of the temple. In fairness, from the OP, the monk himself seems to be staying in the background.

Well done Leicester. Maybe I'll take a trip to Bangkok and see if I can get someone to improve Birmingham City's chances of returning to the Premiership. thumbsup.gif

In 1965 a monk in a temple in the Pattaya area correctly predicted that Kung Apasra Hongsatkula would become Miss Universe when she visited the temple.When on a visit to the temple in 1975 I was amazed to see so many people there for his morning blessing of them (for a fee of course).And was told that he was then one of the richest monk in Thailand.

Let's face it the Catholic Church, evangelists in the USA, the Mormons and Scientology etc are not exactly poor and have been known to charge for all sorts of things

The beautiful game will always be the people's game.

As for your final comment, you sound like a sun journalist.
