gchurch259
I do not understand why so many come here to dive off building ?? I have had plenty of "Self Made" set-backs in my 81 years but was never so far over the edge that I though Sky Diving without a chute was the way to go. If you get that way please say a prayer or two, go see a Man of God and talk about it !!

We have the right to die no matter what religious people say. (i do feel its hard on the next of kin but if there are none of those why not I feel suicide is totally acceptable) If I ever come to a point where I want to kill myself I will just do it. But not in a way that harms others, I would probably go by way of an overdose quick and painless. Or carbon monoxide something like that, nice letter on the door or a letter send the day before alerting people so nobody will be in shock when they find me. I am happy that back in my country we have the right to euthanasia.

Meena999
It's well it's well and true overdue, that all new high rise condos have floor to ceiling safety glass window that can only be opened 75mm, this will stop these suisides, and accidental falls from balconies. They have this idea back in Australia eg: Casino's.
Jedsada3
Vedi Napoli e poi muori See Naples and then die. Maybe it's the reason why they come here... Today, it's difficult to find someone to talk to. When you look around you you see only people with headphones or their head in their mobile phone cut from the rest of the world. None wants to hear the problems of others. None has time to take care of others... The world is cruel : the motto of the Musketeers "one for all and all for one" remains only in books. KhunBENQ
The question is whether is was a pathological depression or desperation / distress for very obvious reasons. Depression can be dealt with by a qualified medical psychiatrist (NOT psychologists). But I am afraid it's not that easy to find one as a foreigner in Thailand. EDIT: just read through the report: Mr Harm’s wife who said that he had been suffering from severe depression before his death. He was treated at Bumrungrad Hospital, but his condition did not improve, Bangkok Biz News reported. So he was in the hand of specialists without success and married. Tragic. mesterm
I do not understand why so many come here to dive off building ?? Maybe they are already on the route to suicide, but think coming here before they go (a supposed exoctic haven with cheap pleasures) would be a good final stop or even something to renew their confidence to go on living. Then they find out that this place isn't all it's made out to be and take the plunge anyway. Having a Thai girlfriend can sometimes speed up the process. Why they chose Thailand to die makes sense and doesn't.. Dying in a place you love, makes sense if you're 100 years old.. Committing suicide at the age of 31??? Makes no sense, unless there was a suicide note with the reason.. Anyway... I do agree, if it's a relationship problem, find someone else.. Especially if you're in Thailand.. In Japan, a very cute 20ish female took a selfie of her legs hanging off a tall building. Sent the pic instigram with a stupid message to her boyfriend, then jumped! NEVER!! Would I jump from a building.. Not in Thailand, no where on planet earth would I jump from a building.. So, if I fell 40 floors to my death it would be murder..
