May 18, 201610 yr You may be better off hiring a 1on1 tutor if you can afford it. Schools have a tendency of teaching what they think you should know, not what you want / need to learn. Generally Thai teachers in the classroom are far from motivated. 1on1 you will get much more attention.
May 21, 201610 yr You get what you pay for. Be especially cautious with teachers of Thai. I work in a multi-SEAsian language teaching program in the US, and the Thais are notoriously the worst teachers. And I'm talking about people who have PhDs. There are good Thai teachers out there, but they will not be "cheap".
June 11, 201610 yr OP, what is your objective? To learn a few phrases? Or seriously to master the language? And how much time a week can you devote to learning?
