BANGKOK: A Japanese gangster who police say is a leading figure in the Yakuza responsible for 200 million baht of crimes was deported on Friday.

The frequent visitor to Thailand once reported that he had a Thai wife.

Five Japanese police came to pick up Shuhei Yoshizawa on Friday after he was arrested in Thailand on May 1st. An international arrest warrant from a Kobe court had been out for the man in connection with a string of some 600 crimes involving 200 million baht.

Thai police revoked his right to stay in the kingdom citing that he was a danger to society. Even though he had assaulted police during his arrest they decided not to pursue the charge so his deportation could be expedited.

Police said that Yoshizawa had been to Thailand many times as a tourist. He asked to stay in the kingdom in February 2015 reporting that he had a Thai wife.

He was cuffed and taken on a Japanese Airlines flight to Osaka Friday evening.

First order of the day for any criminal entering Thailand and wishing to stay, is to marry a clueless

Thai woman to act as a front and give themselves an air of family man and a person with domestic

responsibilities, which is as far from the truth as possible.....

I miss the wizened old cop who quit a few months ago : he used to appear in these situations, looking as though he belonged in film noir. These ones look too ordinary and modern.

First the Uighurs, now yakuza.

I'm not sure this government is making the right impression, either of those groups would eat our beloved leader before breakfast if they thought he were motivated by an excessive zeal to please.

I'llll be back....is what the Yakuza ( spoken: Yah-kah-Sa ) guy is thinking

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XY9jQq7U85c

Or they will just send a replacement for Thailand because his criminal activities earned good money for the Mafia.

That being the case there will be a new face in town..... if need be ......while this is just a temporary hick up in the world of organized crime

Cheers

Pity the many thousands of Thais that are a danger to society cannot be deported.

Bit of a silly thing to say

Not silly at all. Only saying the truth. Many of the Thai's that are talked about on this forum are dangers to society and many of the day to day Thai's are too.

Deported to where???

To some far uninhabited island in some ocean that nobody else cares about. There the thugs, corrupt cops, kid killers, cop killers old people attackers, people off balcony throwers, disabled people murderers and many more anti social incurable mad dogs can live happily ever after among themselves.

The Japanese police have been having a crack down on the Yakuza for quite a while now George, many of them are not tattoo'd nowadays.

Good riddance but...

Looks way too young to be a yakuza kingpin.

And the amount of 200 mio bht revenue upon committing 600 crimes is not that much of an accomplishment either in his type of business.

they should deport all scumbags regardless where they are from. No need to keep them here, don't think you can compare this deport ion with the Uighuss.
