June 16, 20169 yr Hope you can find one who does not believe "Ground no need Thailand!" Also, thinks it is a waste of time to install three plug sockets breaking the ground plug off an expensive electronic appliances is so easy and convenient.
June 16, 20169 yr When I bought my studio some years back I said I wanted a Safe-T- Cut fitted. Not needed I was told. I bought and they fitted. Later I find the S-t C is not earthed. john
June 16, 20169 yr I hired an electrician to wire a new build. He was told what exactly what I wanted but when I asked, to make sure he had installed an earth rod (ground rod) he showed me the three he had installed, one for the house, one for the shower and the third was for the air conditioning. Still better safe than sorry.
June 16, 20169 yr When I bought my studio some years back I said I wanted a Safe-T- Cut fitted. Not needed I was told. I bought and they fitted. Later I find the S-t C is not earthed. john it works under a different principle..It trips withing milliseconds if their is a short or other problem. I still wouldn't use expensive electronic equipment without all the right protection, but the elcb or stc are the safest way on a non-grounded system. It's been a while, but if you research it, some jump the ground to the neutral...but I would proceed with caution. Apparently, there are two schools of thought on the matter.
