Anybody know of agencies that can help with importing pets? I am moving to Bangkok in the next few weeks and am bringing my cat. I'm coming from Sri Lanka and my agent here doesn't really know about Thailand. He told me there is a 30% import tax charged for bringing in the cat which i am keen to avoid. Any ideas??

:o Never heard that one before!

Just read the posts about importing pets, & make sure yr cat has all the injections required.

Ask the agent to show proof in print abt the 30% :D

should your pet have all the required injections then it is no problem.

If your agent is asking you for an 30% import duty he is trying to rip you off.
