Popular Post NancyL
For the proper ambiance, you can't beat early Friday evenings at the "Food Factory" (aka as "The Blue Food Court") in the basement of Kad Suan Kaew. Enjoy live music starting around 5 pm with a fairly competent band and lead singer styling what Elvis would have looked like if he'd lived to his 70s and had his hair dyed in a Thai salon. A barely-legal beer girl serves towers of your favorite Thai beers and you can watch your fellow expat retirees shuffle past in the flattering blue fluorescent light as they use this popular short-cut from CM Ram hospital to Tops Supermarket. Don't know the price, but it's got to be good, because it's a popular after-work hangout for local Thai office workers and expats retirees and you can get order Thai favorites like pad Thai and fried rice from the various food vendors for 40 or 50 baht a plate.

Sparkles
Nancy : Not sure that answers the OP's ? he wants to BUY a beer tower and send it to the UK. I wouldn't mind one either.
thaiduncankk
I would assume beer towers are not on sale to the general public. Normally, they are provided free of charge, by different breweries, to establishments selling their product.

Oh, duh! I thought he had a friend from the UK coming and he wanted to treat him to this particularly unique aspect of Chiang Mai culture. Also, I was hoping I could join in the party and contribute my witty commentary as a local guide. 2

CMKiwi
There is a second hand place in Nong Hai area just before the Mandihol Road overpass (But after Holiday Inn) that has New towers for sale at about 800 baht. Leo and Chang were available last time I was there. These are the proper 3 litre towers. Edited May 16, 2016 by CMKiwi

elektrified
Makro sell them. Makro used to sell them, but not anymore. This was debated to death on FB a few weeks ago. A Thai guy who had something to do with Makro weighed in to the discussion and confirmed "no longer available." There were 3 for sale on FB about 2 days ago. They were gone in 10 minutes. Popular Post Trujillo
NancyL's description has a profound sadness about it. It makes sitting on a park bench feeding the pigeons sound like a goddamn nirvana. 2

Previously paid 800 and 850. Now second hand broken ones are 700, not sure who would want a broken one so good luck selling those! So wondering if there is anywhere else that sells them in CM please? For your mate in the UK, order the following Beer Towers UK and also ebay chang stickers, get them both sent directly to him, sorted. Save yourself from pissing around, and enjoy more time with Mrs Stament and the boys on your next visit to CM. 1

ChristianBlessing
The 2nd hand store on the Chiang Mai-Lamphun Highway, just short of Mahidol Rd (1141), often has them. I purchased a Chang-branded tower, brand new, last year, for ฿800.
