Non O Multiple Entry - Laos "Visa Service" or Ho Chi Minh City... ?

Featured Replies

I need to get a new Non O Multiple Entry based an marriage as mine is about to run out and I do not currently have the means to do the extension of stay.

I Have read that I can go myself to Savannakhet but I would rather just pay a service to go through all the red tape for me just as I do when it is time to get a 90 day stamp. It is too much nicer to just had over the paper work and get in the van then have to plan out a trip, place to stay, make sure I get there on time, worry about if the officer will want to give me a hassle for any reason, etc...

Most of the visa run services I have found one just advertise for tourism visas. Any one know of a good one that is prepared to do a Non O M.E. based on Marriage.

Again I know I can do it myself but it is so much better fork over a few extra Baht and let someone else do the monkey business and know that everything will be taken care of without hassle.

If I have to do it myself I would rater take a flight to Ho Chi Minh City and do some sight seeing rarther than go to Laos. Any one have any experience with getting a multi entry Non O in Vietnam?

Thanks,

R

No idea sorry, but honestly to get the Non-O in Savannakhet is not much of hassle.

The only hassle (for me that was) was staying there for 2 nights as there is not much to do, but the applying and subsequently getting your passport back was "easy peasy"

The Bus back across the bridge however the was / is a different story

Best you go to Savannakhet to get your visa where there is good deal of certainty you will get it. That is lacking for the consulate in Ho Chi Minh City.

I am not aware of any visa run service that goes to Savannakhet.

Looks like there are good chances from this post although it was a single entry and a little dated...

Any one else have experience with HO Chi Minh...??

Again if I have to do it all myself at least I could enjoy myself as opposed to going to Laos... =\

You will not find any reports here for a multiple entry visa for Ho Chi Minh City. Latest Reports Of Getting A Visa In The Region

Many reports for Savannakhet on the forum. Only one night in Savannakhet is needed if you time your trip right.

Vientiane give Single Entry Non O only.

Savannakhet give Multiple Non O, no financial required.

Hanoi or HCMC Single Entry Non O only.

Penang/Malay would be another option, but they require some money in your bank.

I am currently in Vietnam for a tourist visa run. I don't know about the Non O Multi

but I can tell you the HCMC consulate was quiet (empty) and efficient. I had down

loaded and printed the form from the website before I left Thailand. I walked in

with a filled out form, a picture, the printed airline tickets both in and out of Thailand

along with the 40 USD visa fee, and I was in and out in 3 minutes flat. I handed in

the application, they asked me to take a seat while they checked it, and all was

good. A morning drop off with a next afternoon pick up. In and out in 60 seconds

the next day. (She was on the phone)I checked the visa and was out the door.

Currently I am in Nha Trang on a two week reconnaissance. Cheap and clean

sums things up here. Very nice. thumbsup.gif

Not to drag this thread too far afield, but it would be helpful to know how many other Thai Visas and/or Exemptions do you have in the passport you submitted, to receive your Tourist Visa (TV) at HCMC?

My primary hesitation for getting a TV at HCMC was a report here on ThaiVisa in January, where the poster was denied a TV, and refused any reason as to why / what he was missing or needed to get it:

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/888089-tourist-visa-refused-in-hcmv-really-confused/

Others suggested that the Consulate in Hanoi was a better bet. Spreading out ones TVs at different consulates seems the primary strategy for extending the TV-useful-life of one's passport, so these tid-bits of info are gold.

when i did a savanakhet run earlier in the year, there was a man the Thai side of the bridge that would drive you to embassy, hotel and back the next day for the visa, so not a visa service but fairly close i think he wanted 2,000 baht.

but as other have said its fairly easy to do yourself.

At Savannakhet you say "no financial required"-What is required via the paperwork for the Non O Visa please?-Thanks
