Taxi driver arrested in Thon Buri for driving drunk with a BB gun

BANGKOK: -- A taxi driver running a red light was found to be drunk and carrying a BB gun when he was pulled over in Thon Buri district this morning.

Somchai Charoenying, from Buri Ram, had no passengers when he was pulled over at the entrance of Taksin soi 34. At first, he refused to get out of his pink cab when the officers that pulled him over smelled alcohol.

Once he agreed, they searched the cab and found the BB gun inside a camouflage bag in the backseat.

15 farangs who pay and tip can easily turn into substantial amount of lost money,

( when 15 as your number ) walk away from the cab even if it happened over a period, losing a fare

is bread and butter , but may be that is lost on you.

Interesting. I like your theory, but 10000 Thaivisa farrang could boycott his taxi. Will not make any real world difference to the little local Thonburi taxi driver. I'll just take your comment as quasi-serious

As the ratio of Thais using taxis as opposed to farangs is probably 20:1 or more, being realistic, he ain't going to starve.

He's obviously had his coffee, the ID plate on the door is the same as the registration number with the addition of an English letter.

Wheres's that forum user who said 99% of taxi drivers in Thailand are safe and nice people?
