A Canadian friend has a Non B from Vancouver.The visa had the name of the school where he was supposed to be working on it.

Upon arrival to Thailand the school changed their mind. He has a new school and they are telling him he needs to get a new Non B.

He has an entry until end of July so plenty of time to do an extension.

I don't think he needs to go and get a new Non B from Laos.

Anyone?

He may have to if the visa was issued and endorsed with the name of a specific employer.

It all depends upon the immigration where you have to apply for the extension and/or the work permit office whether the visa issued for another employer will be accepted. Some will do it if you get a letter from the one named on the visa stating it is acceptable to them.

In my experience it is very likely he will have to get a new Non B showing the new school name. They are very strict on this rule now. Not so much 3 years ago
