Pakistani Minister calls on Thai DPM, Min of Defence

BANGKOK, 19 May 2016 (NNT) – The Pakistani Minister for Defence Production and Minister for Science and Technology, has met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence during his official visit to Thailand.


Pakistan's Minister for Defence Production and Minister for Science and Technology, Rana Tanveer Hussain, today met with the Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Gen Prawit Wongsuwan at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Bangkok.

The two leaders discussed sustained good relations between Thailand and Pakistan, and cooperation that would enhance both countries’ defense and defense industry, as Pakistan is a nation capable of supporting Thailand on the matter.

The ministers have agreed to organize exchange visits between high ranking officials and experts, along with establishing a mutual committee to push forward cooperation in security in both countries.

The Pakistani Minister was here to attend the United Nations’ Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific’s (UNESCAP) annual summit, which took place in Bangkok on 17th-18th May 2016.
