Spare Parts Advice Requested

Featured Replies

I have a 98 Honda Civic that needs a new O2 sensor. The local parts shop on Phuket

quoted 8000 Baht for this ,as did Honda Phuket. This seems unusually expensive

to me,when various other companies, outside of Thailand are charging between 30

to 60 us$ for the same OEM part.

I have tried placing an order with 3 online parts suppliers and have had no luck,

since they refused to deliver to Thailand.

I've also checked on Lazada and they have cheaper alternatives as well, but all

items are shipped from abroad which means I have to supply credit card details

to Lazada to make the purchase....something I'm not willing to do.

Anyway, I was wondering if anybody had a source for this part in Thailand.I

know Denso,NTK and Bosch all make OEM Honda parts which are much cheaper.

Thanks in advance for any advice punted this way.

Do you have a relative in Europe, Australia, USA etc who can accept delivery and send it on to you?

I just had a quick look on Ebay and there's pages of vendors who will ship to Thailand, with prices from about 450 Baht inc delivery. Try searching with the actual part number though to make sure you're getting the correct part.

Bit the bullet today and ordered a spare from Honda Phuket.

I did check ebay before i posted originally and I went

through 3 pages of ads out of 9,before I got hacked off.

There are companies out there,Napol Performance,for one,who

will deliver to Thailand ,but the Paypal verification and my

Amex card don't get along,so not an option for me.

Downside is I pay more for this part ,Upside is that I don't

have to deal with the goodly people at the Phuket Customs

shed.

Thanks again to anybody who chimed in with a suggestion.
