Fabric sold by Indian wholesalers or tailors at Prahurat , made in Thailand or imported ?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was thinking that all fabric sold by Indian wholesalers at Prahurat our used by tailor was imported but I have been told that it is made in Thailand ?

But Thailand is not famous for this kind of industry ?

Any information ?

Cheers.

i think we all know what Thailand is famous for wai2.gif

Many fabrics are imported from Chins & India. Generally you have acfew Big boys who then distribute to the little guys. Many of the smaller retailers all buy from the same source.

This of course is dependant on the fabric type etc and the quantity required. Many also buy the factory run offs and end of line oroduction materiials from mass producers.

Bangladesh for the cheap and mid-grade stuff. Dont drop a cigarette on it.

Thank you, so you really think that no fabric is made in Thailand ? not at all ?

There is fabric made in Thailand, its a Cotton type material similar to linen. There is also Thai silk (the real stuff) and their are a number of factories producing man made fibres of various varieties.

What exactly are you looking for ?
