I think if you are planning a move, surely you should take the time and visit - - that should tell you more than enough.

i've visited many times but its difficult to judge who is a tourist or an expat from a passing glance hence asking some locals smile.png

anyways, thanks for all the responses i think i have enough infomation to justify a longer visit

Basic demographics of Pattaya expats are one or more of the below.

-over 50 and an alcoholic

-under 50 and a drug addict

-recently released from prison in the UK

-claiming some type of fake disability to scam the government or a corporation in their home country

- ex SAS or some other war hero

-skint and drinking at a concrete table or a cheap charlie happy hour bar.

-round dodger

I manage OK in Pattaya even if I don't fit into any of your categories.biggrin.png
