The Stallions Cafe Mega

Recommended Posts

I am very close to purchasing a Stallions Cafe Mega motorcycle.

It is made in Thailand, 150cc, and has a retro style I like a lot.

I'm tired of scooters and want a tank between my knees again.

I thought it may be a good idea to ask if any TV members have any experience with this brand and model.

and ask for opinions, good or bad.

Looks like I will be paying about 65,000 to my local dealer in Korat for one.

Any input?

looks nice, worry about your mrs bottom sitting pillion, not comfy i think.

i have a spare side car to go with it for sale.

onya willy, be interested on the reviews.

I don't care much for the "hard tail" either,

but I checked it out and if comes off by removing two small bolts and reveals the rest of the soft seat.

i hope the father in law does not see these bikes.

bang goes his pension if he does.

just looks cool in the cafe style.

There is no father in law or pension involved at all here.

This is not about my family or anyone's family.

I was asking if you know anything about the bike!

Thanks anyway!wai.gif

not yours willy, my family

my father in law loves motor bikes, he buys and sells all the time.

if he see a bike he buys it, 6 months later he sells, thats why i say bang goes his pension.

not anything about you, mis-understanding in english i think.

he would love the bike.

A friend of mine has one and let me take it for a spin. If you know what to expect then you'll enjoy it. Fun little bike that I imagine would be great for running errands on.

Thanks for the input.

That is pretty much what I expect.

150 cc is not large enough to be a real touring bike,

I doubt I would ever take it further than about 30 km, and not that far very often.

At my age, ( 63 0 even on a big bike, my back starts killing me after about 50 km!

but it does look like fun, and I do like the way it looks.

Isn't there also a 400cc version for around 110k baht?

These bikes all come from China (that's not a bad thing) and are sold around the World, or in the UK at least, under a different brand name. That's a good thing.

Go for it, or the 400cc version, and enjoy. :)

Hi Willy, I looked at the new just out "Tracker" It really looks nice. I have a thread with photos of the bike..After seeing many Thai kids racing these things up and down a canyon I live near I did some research...Made in Thailand as you say and some good quality...These kids like most kids ( I was one once) are hard as heck on these bikes...They keep running

Thinking of purchasing one myself and if I like it and it stays together the move up too the CT400...and turn that into a Cafe...

Good luck

  • 1 month later...

Why the difference in front tyres on the same brand and style..is it that they just put on what is first in the rack....

For the tires one model is the Stallions Centaur Classic 150, and the other is the Centaur Siam 150 – both bikes look very similar but the prices should be somewhat different the Centaur Classic 150 cost 59,900 THB while the other has currently a promotion price of 60,900 THB (normal 63,900 THB).

Maybe the difference in tire choice is the extra part of the extra money...

Hello...I am the OP.

I am still getting replies to this post.

I think an update is in order.

All of the positive feedback I got from TV members on this post helped convince me to go ahead and purchase one.

I bought a Cafe Mega a month ago tomorrow, on my birthday,

( actually, it was a birthday gift from my wonderful wife! )

I am very pleased with it,

In fact I am loving it.

Thanks for all the feedback to my questions
