Question about 90 days reporting

Featured Replies

My children and mine Non Immigrant O Thai visas were issued on 26th November 2015. Our first 90 day reporting should have been 26th February 2016 but we travelled twice before this which reset the date to 6th June 2016 (our last re-entry back into Thailand was 6th March 2016).

Since it will be our first time reporting, I have decided to do it in person at Chaengwattana in Bangkok.

My questions are:

1. Do the children have to accompany me to immigration for the 90 day reporting? (My 15 year old son has exams that week so I would like to avoid him coming unless no way out)

2. What documents orginals/copies do I need to carry?

3. Is it a complicated process or easy enough for a female to do on her own?

Will appreciate your help. This forum has been a great help to me always. Thank you.

1. No

2. You will only need completed TM47 forms and passports. Download: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm47.pdf

3. It is a easy process. CW can be busy at times. You can also do the reports at Imperial World Lad Phrao and Major Hollywood Suksawat. They are open 10:30 to 18:30.

Thank you ??

Thank you ??

Can ask why you are doing a 90 day report ? "O" visas usually provide a 90 day entry only and 90 day reports are never required.

I/t would seem that you are either risking overstay OR you have something other than an "O" visa.

As said, with an "O" Visa you never have to do 90 day reports.

EDIT: Looking back over your posting history it appears that you do not have an O Visa.

You have an extension of your temporary permision to stay in the kingdom.

Yes I have a 1 year extension on my non immigrant o visa on the basis of being a guardian of my child in Thailand. My children have non immigrant o visa 1year extensions on the basis of education. Therefore, we are required to do 90 day reporting. We have not over stayed...would never dare to risk doing that ?

To be accurate Visas are never extended.

Only a permission to stay date can be extended.

Whatever the exact terminology etc. is I do not know, as I am not a Thailand visa expert and the rules/names change every month, if not week! The info ubonjoe has given is what I needed. Thank you.

Please list all the "name/rule changes" which occurred last month/week and assist members to keep up to date with the "latest"

Thank you !

UbonJoe did give you the correct information but it would not have been of much use to other new members who would have though that he was answering about Non Imm O Visas, which he was not.

Glad you got what you wanted though. smile.png
