FrisoP
Was there a week ago and was surprised I was not able to show my guests the famous fake license shop on Khao San Road. Are these guys gone, or have I simply missed it?

dddave
Bought a KSR drivers lic. years ago. While driving a motorbike on Sukhumvit in Jomtien, I was stopped by a roadside cop. I gave him my KSR license. He took one look at it...laughed,,,tossed it over his shoulder into the bushes. "You buy Koh Sarn Road; no good....now give 400 baht!," Settled for 200. KhunBENQ
Nice story Now think what would have happened if you presented a forged DL in your/western country. You would be in deep s..., criminal offence.
rak sa_ngop
Does anybody remember the story about the guy in Cambodia who had a fake press id on him? This was in the days of Pol Pot. I guess they believed it to be genuine because they took him for a journalist and murdered him.

Daffy D
Was there about a week ago and only saw one guy on the street with a board propped on a chair showing samples of the different licenses available. Think there was a crackdown on fake licenses and the business has gone underground, but as with all things still readily available if you ask around.
