KhruGin
http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/914385-w800-special-edition/ A thread from about 3 weeks ago .....looks like "Not yet". Just had a read around on tut net ...it looks doubtful to come here, saw a story where 300 of the special editions are being built for sale in Japan only. Umm, sorry to annoy also, I read its 48bhp too ..if thats right it will be a bit of a plodder eh. Oh, posted a year ago (13/5/58) a secondhand one in Thailand on that big Thai website for 340k ...reckon if they do ever get here they'd be 400k or more ...ouch. Neilly
Kawasaki W800 Final Edition » End of an Era Some fifty years since its launch, Kawasaki has announced the end of the iconic W series of four-stroke vertical twin motorcycles; the W800 ‘Final Edition’ marks the end of an era. With a limited number available for the 2017 season, fans and enthusiasts across Europe have a last chance to experience the contemporary descendant of the famous W series that first emerged from the Kawasaki factory in Akashi, Japan, in the mid 1960’s. Suitably christened the W800 ‘Final Edition’, the last model in the line is resplendent in its remarkable Candy Brown and Candy Sunset Orange paint scheme. http://www.bikerscafe.com/blog/2016/06/05/kawasaki-w800-final-edition/
DILLIGAD
Great bike but I'd guess the new revised range of the bike that this is emulating may be something to do with its demise.
thaiguzzi
Looks more 60's and British than a Hinkley/Chonburi Triumph....
Issanman
Great bike but I'd guess the new revised range of the bike that this is emulating may be something to do with its demise. And it's been "emulating" since the 1950s when it first appeared as the Meguro 500. From HERE: Around 1960 Meguro replaced its pushrod singles with new overhead cam models and the 650cc T2 twin with a copy of the 500cc BSA A7 called the model K. BSA was about to discontinue the A7 and some sources claim that BSA licenced Meguro to copy it Meguro sold a stake in the company to Kawasaki. Kawasaki took over Meguro about 1964.
