larsjohnsson
When a person arrive with their own sailboat from Malaysia, how many days does he get without any visa? 15 like he get by land or? And can you get back and forth a few times like you can on the landborder?

Gulfsailor
Depends if you are crew (30 day non extendable transit visa) or passenger (30 day extendable (2x 15days) visa exempt). Beware that your yacht needs AIS. http://www.noonsite.com/Countries/Thailand/?rc=Formalities
ubonjoe
Entering by sea is the same as by land. You would get a 15 day visa exempt entry. Not sure how many entries you could do by sea.

You have to clear immigration the same as anywhere else and also clear the boat out of Thailand at the Harbour office. Failure to do that will give you major problems at the next country you call at as there will be no exit stamps and port clearance......
Ulic
My buddy sailed into Phuket. He stopped in Malaysia and picked up a SETV on his way. Then flew to Cambodia and picked up a second SETV visa there after 90 days. After the second 90 he was on his way to complete his circumnavigation. It was all straight forward for him. keeniau96
Sailboat entry into Phuket all aboard need to report to the one-stop center at Chalong Pier. Register the boat and do individual checkins. All aboard must be shown on a separate login sheet. Simpler for all except owner/captain to register as passengers because crew have special restrictions re stay and exit.
