Worth tying up tens of thousands of dollars for a very rare usage? For all the negative press on 15 minute cities, I'd love to live in one. Walk most places you need to go and drive your golf cart everywhere else. -

Fake Prosecutor Arrested While Lecturing Students in Full Uniform
A man impersonating a prosecutor was arrested while surreptitiously giving a legal lecture to students. Yesterday, authorities apprehended Mr. Mongkol at a high school in Nonthaburi, exposing a long-standing guise of falsehood. Mr. Mongkol had posted multiple images of himself in a public prosecutor's uniform, complete with insignia resembling those of the Office of the Attorney General. His consistent deceit led many to believe he was a bona fide prosecutor, drawing unwarranted prestige and trust. The Office of the Attorney General became aware of Mr. Mongkol's actions through social media platforms, notably Facebook. An investigation revealed that Mr. Mongkol had been falsely presenting himself as an advisor to the Attorney General since around 2022. Despite his claims, he was never officially appointed nor provided with any legitimate workspace. Authorities discovered that Mr. Mongkol’s activities breached several laws. He was found inappropriately dressed in the uniform and insignia of a prosecutor, causing confusion and potential damage to the Office of the Attorney General's reputation. Under the Criminal Code, Section 141, and the Official Insignia Act, this conduct warranted legal action. Picture courtesy: Daily News An official complaint was filed against Mr. Mongkol by the Office of the Attorney General on January 5, 2024. Subsequent sightings confirmed his continued masquerade, leading to additional charges on March 20, 2024. An arrest warrant was obtained on June 20, 2024. Mr. Mongkol was finally apprehended on July 25, 2024, as he was about to address students while wearing a prosecutor’s uniform. Following his arrest, he was granted bail but must now face prosecution. The Taling Chan Police have concluded their investigation and forwarded findings to the Criminal Litigation Division, Taling Chan 2, reported Siam Rath. Images of Mr. Mongkol frequently appeared at various government events, misleading officials and the public alike. His deceitful activities have now been halted, awaiting judicial proceedings to commence on July 31, 2024. The case underscores the significant need for vigilance against impersonation and fraud in professional settings. Trump's pick of JD Vance a hopefully fatal mistake for his maga fascist movement
If you believe that Kamala Harris incompetent because of her race, I have to ask how you type while wearing a KKK hood. Hey, do you know how many millions Trump's father gave him to get into business? Trump was such a bad businessman that if he had simply invested those millions in the stock market, he would be rich today. -

Kamala Harris Raises $200 Million in First Week, Energizes Democratic Campaign
There is a question about the 200 million she got for her election. Biden had transferred his election money to hers. Which is most likely illegal and was done to make her seem like she has so many supporters. https://fortune.com/2024/07/24/trump-campaign-transfer-biden-funds-to-kamala-harris-breaks-law/ If she does not win then she will be in trouble with the courts and prosecuted for election fund fraud. So don't get your hairs up in a fizzy. If this is accurate then it was done for the mere fact to make her look like she is popular to win more votes which is also a crime. I do not believe she is as popular as the Democrats are claiming in the news. -

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
And I would urge Japan to prioritise BEV's for sustainability and to fulfill customer demand. I would caution Japan that customers want BEV's not ICE in any form and they are over-relying on legacy solutions with ridiculous numbers of moving parts and gross inefficiencies. Thailand has already advanced past being a hub for ancient technology and has embraced the future and it's clear from increasing market share they made the correct decision. I would further advise those in Japan to stop spreading disinformation regarding impractical new ICE engines, or mythical solid-state batteries, and other nonsensical information designed to do nothing more than slow BEV adoption by spreading fear or promising milk & honey in the future that clearly is a step back from the clear technological advantage and customer satisfaction of BEV's. In summary "Don't fight the customer". -

[QUIZ]20th Century US History Quiz
I did not see that. they must have fixed that glitz by the time I got there,. But yours sounds like the kind of quiz I would do very well in Joking of course, without the challenge what's the point. I tried to start a quiz thread years ago, and it went well for a few pages, but then , I believe. without the time restrain , google defeated the whole purpose of it. People Think that Google is a good thing and in many ways it is, but there is no substitute for having the information rather than having quick access to it . There is a danger to having quick access to information because it makes people mentally lazy, and in a way functioning idiots, because if you have access to information but not in your brain, it plays little part in your cognitive process. When connecting the dots in your mind, you simply do not have this dot instantly available to connect. Ands since you often don't know what you dont know, you don't have the capacity to Google it. Does that make any sense? -

The most sensible comment from a politician "I want them to stop dying"
If you want to talk about politicized judges, Aileen Cannon and the Supreme Court are prime examples. A president immune to prosecution for crimes committed while in office. A judge so biased the entire intelligence community must be wondering if anyone would want to put themselves in harm's way, when a president can (a) show off top secret files to all and sundry ( b ) retain files despite repeated requests for their return. Biden's retention of files is false equivalence, he returned them as soon as he was asked. Trump lied and concealed the ones he took. Trump may be popular with those who are too stupid to see what he is doing to the fabric of America. I suspect there are many Americans who are heartily sick of Trump, and want him behind them.
