webfact Posted June 7, 2016 Share Posted June 7, 2016 Two gay Thai men who fell in love in jail arrested for selling yaba on LINECHIANG MAI: -- Two gay Thai men who fell in love in jail while doing five year stretches for drugs decided on release to set up a love nest together.So one got a job delivering chicken - only to find that there was not much money in an honest lifestyle. So his partner advertised for Ya Ba customers on Line and using the BBQ chicken company car as cover, they together made deliveries of a more profitable nature to teenagers and workers in the Chiang Mai area reported Thairath.However, police soon found out what they were up to and set up a sting. Now the gay jailbirds are back in irons once more.Arrested Tuesday were Ekachai Mahawan, 31, of San Sai, Chiang Mai, and Chonkarn Chawapathee of Pa Sang, Lamphun. Also taken into evidence were 55 Ya Ba tablets, a phone and a pick up belonging to a well known company that delivers BBQ chickens.Apparently the pair were very careful in only selling to people they knew and then only through the Line application. After all they did not want to get caught again so soon after release from prison.But officers had a secret weapon of a police informant known to the men who posed as a buyer while officers staked out the roadside deal.The gay men said love bloomed behind bars and they had only recently been released from five year sentences each. However, unless one of these boys has a very rich Uncle, this story will take a detour and be as far away from a happy ending as it is possible to get.
