mcfish
I'm very sure your wife would very quickly adapt to the top of the range us$5000 mattress if you gave her the opportunity.. Sent from my SC-01D using Tapatalk
fusion58
how long did it take to adapt to thai mattress So those things are mattresses? And here all this time I thought they were some kind of medieval torture device.

Nomad97
One night was long enough to convince me that my body was not compatible with a coconut husk Thai mattress. I vowed there and then never again and didn't.
pgrahmm
As long as it took me to shop for & buy a decent mattress..... Floors are more comfortable than most of those Thai mattresses - notice you never find them in hotels either ....

ignis
in 10+ years never did, so went to Sunderland mattress 80% discount Sale Warehouse, now for over 1 year have top of the range pocket sprung.. even my Thai partner after a couple of days said it was so much better. So never did adapt to a Thai rock hard mattress.
1FinickyOne
From not liking hard mattresses to being born soft and weak is quite a jump. There have been comfortable mattresses here in Thailand for as long as I can remember and that goes back 40 years here. They do grow up mostly sleeping on mats on the floor and that is what they are used to...
harrry
3 latex toppers on top make them useable.
augustwest
Two weeks here and I was miserable and bought a memory foam topper but only covered half a queen size mattress. Very comfortable! Now get this, I felt it wasn't fair to wife so I bought a MF topper that fit entire queen mattress one week and wife bought a coconut husk topper she put on top of MF and she has used that since,I gave up
opalred
i will add they are better here than japan i was there a few times years ago they had straw mattress on the floor and rice filled pillows also to go to toilet had to put legs up the wall then i could see why they all go to sleep as soon as they get on a train the only sleep they get happy dreams or nightmares to you all

Been on a few weekend breaks where the hotels had the soft springy things and it take a few days for my back to get back to normal.
