how early can i renew my visa in savannakhet?

Featured Replies

hello, i have a 1 year non-o multiple entry based on marriage visa from savannakhet, it will expire august 19, my question is can i go there for make a new visa before it expire? because im not gonna be able to do it on the date it expire because im going to norway around 15 august, maybe earlier... so it have been verry good if i can go there to make a new 1 year visa before that, Best regards Songroi.

You could apply for a new visa shortly before it expires.

You could also do a border hop for a new 90 day entry just before it expires and then get a single re-entry permit (1000 baht) to keep the remainder of the 90 days valid when you return from your trip.

thanks for quick answear, do you know how shortly before? you think its okay if i go there like 14-15 august to renew it?

You could go on the 14th or 15th.

Shortly before is weeks not months early.

If you are leaving on the 15th just let it run out, when you get back you get 30 days and you can extend for 60 more days based on marriage at immigration, then you can go to Laos to get a new visa after that. Saves you stressing and the hassle to do the visa before you go home.
