PRD cooperates with NBTC to promote government policies

BANGKOK, 10 June 2016 (NNT) - The Public Relations Department (PRD) has discussed with the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) on how to promote government policies via various media platforms.

PRD Director-General Apinan Juntarungsri and officials of the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand and Radio Thailand met with NBTC Secretary-General Takorn Tantasith, after Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha told the department to do more to raise awareness about government policies.

The PRD is expected to provide information in the form of television spots, infomercials, news scoops and news tickers to the NBTC under their cooperation. The NBTC will later ask free television stations, digital channels and radio programs to broadcast the PR content.

Oh, so that's how propaganda works. Thanks for telling us.

Well, they don't have a choice now do they?

Putting a gun to one's head; or as they say in the generals office, section 44! It just makes one want to co-operate?
