What Qualifacations Do You Need For A Working Visa

Featured Replies

Just so everyone knows what qualifacations do you need for a working visa ?

Also I have a degree in English but not a TESOL but I hear this is good enough, is this true ?

I also have a TEFL but I have also heard that these are not excepted ? Does this mean that now TEFL are now looked upon in a bad light ?

qualifacations

excepted

Yet another valuable addition to the pool of "English Teachers" in Thailand.

A degree seems to be the most important item for teachers.

Just as a clarification since it's unclear from the original post whether this distinction is clear: Thailand does not have a work-visa in the same context as many other countries (i.e. a visa that once obtained, simply allows one to work). One always needs a work permit to work legally in Thailand, one needs to have a non-immigrant visa in order to apply for a work permit, one generally needs an actual job offer to apply for a non-immigrant visa (unless that person is a non-immigrant visa holder due to marriage or some other such circumstance).
