I am a 29 year old Maltese citizen, resident in Malta and should be visting Thailand for a 2-day business trip in late December. Malta does not seem to be in the list if countries exempted from Visa requirement when I searched the net, but most of the EU countries are. Thus I thought that maybe the country list is not yet updated since Malta has just recently become an EU member.

Can someone confirm if Maltese citizens require a visa to enter Thailand, and if yes where and how I can apply for one?

For any Maltese having my same query, there is a consolate in Sliema where the visa can be applied for.
