Civil-State Enterprise aims to help farmers: Interior Ministry

BANGKOK, 15 June 2016 (NNT) – Interior Ministry Permanent Secretary Krissada Boonyarat said that a Civil-State Enterprise aims to help farmers with the use of the public sector’s knowledge.

Mr Krissada said that the Civil-State Enterprise has aimed to propel the development of Thailand’s economy at foundation level to strengthen the public and private sectors and connect communities in order to achieve development goals and increase revenues with enhanced product values.

The establishment of the Civil-State Enterprise will not result in monopoly as members of the public will be main shareholders of the enterprise while its operations will yield a concrete outcome from an initial phase, he said.

He confirmed that the enterprise will act as a link between the government private firms and people and will provide assistance to farmers in agriculture, food processing and tourism.

The enterprise's goal is to contribute to national economic recovery and regaining the country's economic strength, he added.
