5-year old girl left alone in house with her dead father rescued



PHITSANULOK: -- Police are looking for relatives of a five-year old girl who was left alone with her dead father in their house in Tambon Samorkhae, Muang district of Phitsanulok on Thursday.

Curious neighbours of Mr Chiranuwat Supanpuwong ,32, became suspicious when he did not show up and his house was closed for almost the whole day on Thursday, so one of them scaled the fence of the house and peeped through a gap in the window and saw Chiranuwat lying motionless in the bed next to his daughter with a blanket covering up their bodies.

The air conditioner in the bedroom was still working at the time.

The neighbor whose identity was not disclosed then knocked the front door hard in order to wake them up but there was no response, so he alerted the district police who later arrived with rescue workers from Prasartboonsatharn Foundation.

The rescue workers broke into the house and went straight to the girl who said she had not eaten anything since the morning. One of them felt the pulse of Mr Chiranuwat and found he was already dead.

The body was later sent to the Buddhachinaraj hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The girl told the police that her father went to a party with some friends Wednesday night and went to bed immediately after his return. He didn’t wake up ever since.

Police are trying to locate relatives of the girl she could be taken care of.

I don't know about the headline.it sounds as if they rescued the dead father.hopefully she is too young to understand what was happening.

Maybe one should wait for the autopsy report before suggesting Justice Minister who said "ya ba should be excluded from list of narcotic drugs" should be made to eat his words.

Unlikely. You don't go to bed after taking yaba. Good old ethanol, probably.

The father went to a party Wednesday night, possibly leaving her alone in the house. He returned and went to bed, presumably the worse for wear. He did not wake up and his daughter probably in shock, stayed alongside him. IMHO, she was only left alone in the house with her dead father because no-one else knew he had died. I hope the girl receives good care. A sad story as usual.
