Any "Real" Good quality Olive Oil in Thailand?

Featured Replies

For non-virgin olive oil I quite like the taste of Colavita. For me a pleasant distinctive taste and even stands in for extra virgin oils. Note though that Colavita gets a bit of a kicking on some web reviews.

For mostly all dishes I want to mix my olive oil with balsamic vinegar so doubt if alternatives to olive oil can do this as well.

All this talk about olive oils has reignited my taste buds memory and I am craving a good NZ olive oil........so have found out that it is exported to Malaysia and sold there and luckily enough I have a friend there who will return to Patong in a few days, so hoping he can get me some!!!! Here's hoping.

The problem being that the Italian olive oil industry has been so infiltrated by the mafia that no one is really sure what they are buying.........many articles seem to back that up.

I've tasted many oils and the NZ stuff is just superb in my view, winning many accolades worldwide, so will pursue that avenue until I can't for one reason or another!

BTW thanks for the tip.
