Novices claim monk was behind vicious attack on puppy

CHAIYAPHUM: -- Novices at a central Chaiyaphum temple have claimed that a monk was behind an attack on a puppy.

Pictures of the little puppy dead in the monks quarters were shared on social media leading to a complaint to Chaiyaphum police, reported Daily News. The puppy had had its brains and eye bashed out with a heavy object at the monks quarters.

Officers went to the Wat Chaiyaphumwanaram to investigate. They were told that at the time of the attack all except one monk were studying in another part of the temple. Alone at the monks' quarters was a 42 year old monk.

When everyone came back at 11 am to eat they saw the shocking scene. The monk had apparently been trying to fix an internet connection and said that he has seen nothing. He told the monks to bury the puppy.

Police took the monk in for questioning to the police station.

When the novices were interviewed they said that there had been an argument with the monk about damage to the internet connection.
This they claimed resulted in the attack on the puppy.

The novices also said that the monk threatened them saying as he told them to clear up the bloodied puppy: "Take a good look - if you protest, what happened to the puppy can happen to you."

Investigations continue but no charges have yet been laid in the case.

It's tough being a monk these days. Playing over the internet all day, smoking cigarettes, drinking beer, gambling, killing puppies, and posting jerk off pictures to facebook takes a deep spiritual commitment...

problems with an internet connection? what's with these MODERN monks? don't they practice the five precepts? don't they know they are supposed to live an austure life WITHOUT modern things like cell phones, internet, ? they are all PHONEYS now and will get nothing from me or my family unless I know them personally! and whats with the dear leader? does he not know that he now has fake monks living in temples looking for three hots and a cot?
