BANGKOK, 22 June 2016 (NNT) – Manufacturing Expo 2016 has kicked off, presenting a range of innovations, technologies and brand name products for the industrial sector.

The trade exhibition has assembled over 2,452 brands in the industrial sector and is a joint public-private event. The happening is divided into 6 specialized zones, namely; molds and print templates, automotive parts, production technology, metallic surface preparation and business matching. A highlight of the expo is the unveiling of robots designed to work alongside humans on a daily basis.

Assistant to the Minister of Industry Pornchai Trakulworanant remarked that the exhibition will serve as a stage to showcase Thailand’s production capabilities while pointing out it was organized in keeping with the government’s policy to support high level technological innovation and to herald the era of Industry 4.0.

Up to 76,000 industrialists are expected to attend the event and generate no less than 5 billion baht for the nation. It is taking place today to June 25 at BITEC Bangna.
