NCPO vows to tackle people's problems

BANGKOK, 29 June 2016 (NNT) - The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has confirmed it will take care of the people and solve their problems with the use of the public sector’s mechanism in a sustainable manner. The council also instructed national security units to assist the disaster-affected people in all areas.

Col. Winthai Suwaree and spokesmen of the NCPO on Tuesday announced the results of the NCPO’s meeting presided over by NCPO Secretary-General Gen. Teerachai Nakwanich. He instructed the NCPO officers and those from relevant units to reach the areas which needed help immediately.

The NCPO secretary-general stressed that the NCPO must make sure that there was no NCPO officer who acted inappropriately and take legal action against those who used the name of the NCPO for personal gain.

As for the safety of public transportation users, the NCPO will cooperate with local public transportation officers to ensure safety and set penalties for those who breach the council’s regulations on public transportation.
